Maybe you are too busy to go to the gym or the most likely scenario, you just can’t find the motivation to join a gym and commit. However if there is a will, there is always a way. So why not move the sofa and table to the side as you wont need ANY equipment for these simple but extremely effective home exercises.

Start of with a stretch, this is very important as it not only warms your body up but it also makes your muscles flexible which in turn helps maintain and prepare your joints for a range of motion.

  1. Press Ups 

You know this one and its probably one of the easiest to complete. The press up or push up as some may call it, is vital as it works on multiple muscle groups but mainly the chest and shoulders. Other muscles will include triceps if done correctly.

2. Jumping Jacks 

Jumping Jacks are great in getting your blood flowing and preparing you for the next exercises that include your arms and legs.

3. Abdominal Crunches / Sit Ups 

Sit Ups are great for toning your stomach area or if thanks to natural blessings you already have a flat stomach, crunches will get you that 6 pack.

4. Squats 

This is an essential exercise when it comes to fitness, this is not only great in maintaining your lower body strength but they help build your leg muscles (including your quadriceps, hamstrings, and calves). Oh and ladies (gents too), they can help tone your butt.

5. Chair Triceps Dips 

Triceps dips are the easiest way to tone your arms, they also help build your shoulders and outer chest. This is a basic exercise and only requires equipment like a chair or a mid level bed.

6. Plank 

Planking is not just a Jay Z lyric but it is actually a vital exercise for your core. It strengthens a variety of body parts but mainly your back muscles and abdominal muscles (you will certainly feel it). It can also be great to improve back pain.

7. Lunges 

Lunges mainly target your leg muscles such as the quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings, calves but are also a great way to loose weight as they heavily workout all the muscles in your body.

8. High Knees Running In Place

This is the ultimate cardio exercise and a great way to end your workout. It is important to do this for at least two minutes for the best effect. Especially if you are trying to lose weight.
